Creating and Editing Equipment Color

When creating and editing Equipment the UI, users can define and update the color of Equipment. This is available for individual device creation, individual Equipment editing, and bulk Equipment editing. Color selection is not available when bulk creating Equipment.

The color options include:

  • Black

  • Gray

  • Brown

  • Red

  • Orange

  • Yellow

  • Light Green

  • Dark Green

  • Light Blue

  • Dark Blue

Note: the Color Name is visible but not directly editable. The color name will automatically update when the corresponding color swatch is selected.

Viewing Equipment Color

The color swatch and name can be viewed and added in any Equipment table or detail card.

Color Field in Equipment Detail Card

Searching by Color

Users can search Equipment by color by simply typing the color name into the search box.

Note: The only odd color is “red” which will return results as a partial search for paired Equipment.

Search by Color

The color table column that combined the color swatch and name is not directly filterable. If needed, users can use the advanced filter options to select Filter then add the attribute Color Name and then select the color name they wish to filter for.
